Though Kagani Elves are normally from Kagano, Arina has never stepped in the island country. Instead she was born in a small forest in southeastern Gardenia. It is there she has lived with her mother, sister and brother for all of her life.
In southeastern Gardenia there exists a province called Summerfield. It is a small region bordered by a small forest, a small mountain and the coast. There are three towns. There is a fishing town called Port Airedale, a farming town called Greenflower and the capital of the province, Bellemora.
Between Greenflower and Bellemora there is a path leading into the forest. It is on that path that Arina's family home can be found. It is there where she was raised by her single mother.
Each of her family members provide for the family in a different way. Her mother, Alisa Fae (44), crafts clothing and accessories to be sold in the three towns. Her sister, Lyssa Fae (25) is a hunter. She searches the forest and surrounding areas for game to be sold as meat and leather. Then her brother, Arlen Fae (18) works odd jobs around the area.
Arina's father is a traveler. In the past he frequently left home to pursue quests throughout Gardenia. During his last quest he never sent a letter home. He never returned home. It has been four years, and it is unknown whether he is still alive.
As for Arina, since a young age her sister and mother have provided for her. Realizing her clever mind, they invested in every book they could find. However, it was not a book of Gardenia that impressed her. Instead, Arina adored the old diaries that her grandmother left to her mother.
Arina's grandmother lived in Kagano. She was an elf relied on by her tribesman to create potions and other creations. In her diaries and journals she listed tools, ingredients and techniques she used in her practice. Arina studied all of it, and then found other books to tell her more. This is where her study of potions started. It also lead to her understanding of alchemy.
It was about 12 years that she started studying alchemy and potions. Today she is the owner of a small shop in Bellemora. There she sells potions and other odds and ends. When she is not running the shop she is out looking for ingredients for new potions.
